Community Group Membership

Community Group Membership at Dundalk FM

Dundalk FM welcomes annual membership from community groups, voluntary organisations and statutory bodies in the Dundalk area. Becoming a member organisation is a meaningful way to support independent community radio and to give your group a stronger voice in how the station serves the local community.

Membership Fee

Annual membership runs from 1st September 2025 to 31st August 2026.

Community Group or Statutory Organisation – 30 euro per year

Payment can be made by Cash, Cheque, EFT or PayPal to payments@dundalkfm.ie.

What Your Organisation Gains as a Member

Community group and statutory members of Dundalk FM enjoy the following benefits.

Your nominated representative is entitled to attend and vote on your behalf at the Dundalk FM Annual General Meeting, provided membership has been paid by 1st September. Your representative is eligible to stand for election as a Director on the Board of Dundalk Media Centre CLG. If elected, their details will be submitted to Coimisiun na Mean for approval and registered on CORE.

Member organisations also gain access to continued professional development training through internal Dundalk FM workshops, local partnership programmes and CRAOL community radio training. You can submit a programme proposal for a broadcast slot on Dundalk FM, giving your group a platform to promote the work you do across Dundalk and County Louth. Members can also learn how to use the sound desk, portable recorder and audio editing software, and improve speech-making and presentation skills across your organisation.

Your Representative

When joining as a community group, you will be asked to nominate a representative who will act on your organisation’s behalf. You can change your representative at any time by writing to the Secretary of Dundalk FM. If your Chairperson is nominated as your representative, another member of your organisation will be asked to countersign the application form.
