Marian Del Duca / Presenter

Marian Del Duca has been one of Dundalk FM 97.7’s most dependable and accomplished presenters since she joined the station in 2010, and she has described that involvement in terms that say something important about what community radio can do for people: it gave her a new lease of life.

Before coming to Dundalk FM, Marian had no broadcasting background. What she had was curiosity, warmth, and the willingness to learn something entirely new in her adult years. She trained on the sound desk, developed her presenting voice, learned to conduct interviews, and built over time into one of the station’s most trusted voices on Drive Time.

Drive Time, which runs Monday to Friday afternoon, is one of the station’s flagship daily programmes, carrying listeners from the working day into the evening with a mix of music, community news, and conversation. Marian presents on Tuesdays, bringing the same engaged and natural quality to the microphone that has made her a consistent favourite among Drive Time’s audience.

What the station gave Marian in 2010, she has returned many times over through a decade and a half of committed, high-quality volunteer broadcasting. She is one of the presenters who embodies the spirit of what community radio is supposed to be.
