Marissa Lucchesi / Presenter
Marissa Lucchesi is one of Dundalk FM 97.7’s most important behind-the-scenes and on-air contributors, as Producer on Town Talk, community outreach and new presenter development, Marissa has helped to shap the station’s culture for years.
Town Talk is the station’s weekday morning community magazine programme, running from 10am to noon Monday to Friday. As a researcher, coordinator, and on-air contributor, Marissa has helped bring a wide range of community voices to the programme, from healthcare and social services to arts, education, and international affairs. She and Padraig Quigley ran the Community Call registration during the 2020 pandemic response, directly connecting Dundalk FM with vulnerable listeners across the town who needed information and a sense of connection during lockdown.
Marissa is also one of the people who greets new volunteers at information evenings and follows up with them as they take their first steps into broadcasting, a role that requires patience, encouragement, and a genuine interest in helping other people find their voice.
