Metal Mania, is Stephen’s monthly show on Dundalk FM 97.7.
He joined Dundalk FM in early 2025, completing the station’s radio presenting course before taking on his own programme. He had appeared as a guest on some live shows first, testing the water before committing to his own slot. What he found was a station full of people who take music seriously and who genuinely want their presenters to bring personality and conviction to their programmes. That philosophy suited him perfectly.
What he values most about Dundalk FM is the feedback from listeners. When someone gets in touch to say they finally heard music they love on local radio, it makes every hour of preparation worthwhile. Metal and hard rock fans are among the most devoted in music. They have been waiting a long time for a show like this on 97.7. Stephen Fagan made it happen.
