Dundalk FM Presenters

Karl Collins grew up in Laytown with a forty-year obsession with ska, reggae, rocksteady, and soul, and in 2015 he brought that passion to Dundalk FM with Rocksteady Rhythms — a show that has since grown a Facebook community of over 2,500 members from across the world and taken Karl to festivals all over Ireland.

Stephen Fagan is a born and bred Dundalk man, a lifelong gig-goer, and an enthusiastic (if loud) home guitarist who joined Dundalk FM in early 2025 to do something the station had never had before: a dedicated heavy metal and hard rock show called Metal Mania.

Pat Byrne grew up in Castlebellingham and now lives in Ravensdale, and for the past twelve years he has been one of Dundalk FM's most dependable and community-rooted voices — presenting Town Talk, contributing to the Dundalk Lions Club At Your Service programme, and covering Irish live music on the Irish Gigs Review Show.

Joe Duffy is the Chair of Dundalk FM 97.7 and the presenter of Showband Street every Sunday at 1pm — a musician who lived the golden era of the Irish showband circuit, a former bandmate of Paddy Mac in New Revival, and the man keeping the memory and the music of that extraordinary era alive on local radio.

Pamela Carragher joined Dundalk FM in October 2022 with her chart music discovery show Pop Stop, and has since built an international reach that few community radio presenters can match — the show now also airs every Thursday on Colwyn Community Bay radio in Wales.

Andy McKenna's journey into radio began with a pizza competition win on The Lunchbox in 2018 — a voucher collection that turned into a studio tour, a friendship with Padraig Quigley and Paddy Mac, and eventually Saturday Night 80's, a monthly celebration of the decade he grew up in, complete with a lovingly revived Slow Set.

Oisín McDonnell lives just outside Dundalk, travels to London's West End at least twice a year to follow the theatre season, and brings all of that devotion to musical theatre to Treading the Boards — a monthly programme on Dundalk FM dedicated to the great composers, lyricists, and shows of Broadway and the West End.

Marissa Lucchesi is a presenter and community coordinator at Dundalk FM 97.7, contributing to Town Talk on air and working off-air on volunteer development, diversity outreach, and new presenter support — including co-managing the station's Community Call registration during the 2020 pandemic response alongside Padraig Quigley.

Paddy McEneaney, known to everyone as Paddy Mac, is the voice of Good Morning Dundalk — a born and bred Dundalk man, a former musician who played with bands across the town for decades, and the warm, familiar presence who has been starting the morning for Dundalk FM listeners every weekday at 8am for over twenty years.

Padraig Quigley is one of the most important people at Dundalk FM 97.7 — the voice of The Lunchbox every weekday from noon to 2pm, a sound desk trainer to generations of new presenters, a key figure in the station's pandemic Community Call response, and the person more new volunteers have turned to for reassurance and guidance than anyone else.

Jason Kelly has been part of Dundalk FM since 2002 through his connection with RehabCare Dundalk, and his story is one of the most powerful examples of what community radio can genuinely do for a person — he is now a Drive Time presenter, a trained sound engineer, a member of the Programme and Technical Committee, and the key figure behind the establishment of a remote studio at the RehabCare centre.

Seoirse McCann presents Drive Time on Thursday afternoons on Dundalk FM 97.7, bringing energy, personality, and a genuine love of music to one of the station's most listened-to daily slots — and regularly supports the station's outreach work by sharing his experience with new volunteers taking their first steps in community broadcasting.
